Wedding Photographer Cornwall
Arriving at Dan & Donna’s home the morning of the wedding for preparations, I knew it was going to be a good day. The sun was shining which helps and the school holidays had ended which meant calm was restored throughout the region. Everyone seemed relaxed, no dramas yet and Donna’s pet rabbits were the centre of attention, especially with the two flower girls. We had time for a few brides maid shots in the garden before making the short journey to the church.
The ceremony took place at the beautiful church in Perranuthnoe across the bay from Penzance. We departed with a confetti throw to make our way down to the rocky cove in Perranuthnoe. The track down really warranted a 4wd but a few clucks and clanks later, we made it. Apart for a few walkers on the path down, it was deserted which was perfect. With the backdrop of the iconic St Michael’s Mount and lovely weather, we couldn’t of asked for a better setting. Dan and Donna were a dream to photograph, they were so happy, relaxed and above all, totally in love which came through on every photo.
A short drive back along the coast took us to the beautiful stretch of golden beach that is Praa Sands with the venue right on the beach. It’s a popular holiday and surfing spot and being keen surfers themselves, this is why they chose it. The surf was good with quite a few out there on their boards, I think the couple were wishing it was them! We all headed onto the beach for group photos followed by the beach themed reception in the Sand Bar with stunning views across the bay.
After everyone was fed and watered, they headed back down on to the beach for games. With the evening sun starting to drop, the light was perfect for a romantic stroll on the beach, they even took off their shoes and went for a dip. The day had been perfect, the kind every wedding photographer dreams of. With a bouquet toss to end before the sun had gone down, everybody headed in on to the dance floor to party the night away.
